Death Note Live Action + SPOILERS

The following is a comment on micster on Death Note 2: The Last Name:

Yeah, they changed tons of stuff in the movie, changed the order some events happen and even created some new ones. Which, in return, caused dozens of plot holes the anime didn’t have.
Just follow the damn anime! The movie just mixed everything up. But I have to say there’s a VERY good decision there: Near and Mello.

-How the movie is worse than the anime: Events out of order/new events which causes plot holes. Acting (yeah I know I’m comparing acting with voice acting, but fuck it).

-How the movie is better than the anime: The only thing they got right, L should be the only one able to defeat Kira, not Near, not Mello, those 2 are made of bullshit and the second half of the anime is frustrating (why would Kira trust that stupid sidekick?).

Overall I say the anime is Death Note as it should be, and the movie is just milking the series carelessly. (don’t know about the manga, even though I think it’s better)

Also, try not to get angry just for the sake of getting angry. You’re forcing jokes and errors in the movie which actually don’t make any difference.

He's not a very known reviewer, but it's nice to see someone reviewing Live Actions.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, season 2 and Endless Eight

The following is a comment on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, season 2 - Anime Review by ONVPodcast (great guy).

There I made an extremely fanboyish rant on The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi: Endless Eight and Second Season, or to be more specific, it's reception by the "mass". So here it is:

I LOVED Endless Eight. I suffered through it (maybe just like Nagato did) and understood that THAT was the POINT. Anime (or Art) is not good when (or because) it's FUNNY, it's good when it does what it promises to do, which E8 did masterfully.

The whole purpose of the experience was to feel the tiredness of repeating 15.000+ times 2 weeks of your life, and seeing the amount of rage received, I say GOOD JOB KYOANI! GOOD JOB!

If people complain about watching 8 times, imagine how Nagato felt. Also, Nagato FELT? Can you comprehend that? She FELT boredom, that's huge for an AI!

But enough with the E8 talk! There was SO MUCH good stuff in other episodes!

During the "filming episodes" we see the real Mikuru Beam and, for the first time, we see Koizumi lose his smile and get actually scared! We also see Haruhi in the past, how she got to that school to meet Kyon, etc... everything coming full circle.

I'm a huge fan of the series. Absolutely loved this video and how you use REASON to talk 

Avatar, cartoon and anime (TGWTG)

The following comment is on: How in the F? Avatar: The Last Airbender Part 1 on That Guy With The Glasses

I am a big anime fan and just started watching Avatar (I'm at the end of season 2 right now)

And you know what? Once I finish Avatar and go back to anime, I know I'll miss the fluid animations, the lip-sync, even the body language, something so simple no one notices, but makes a huge difference to make a real human.

As an Otaku, I have to say today's anime is waaay behind what Avatar did to animation. It's truly something else, it's not only unique but WELL DONE.

You know, there's anime, there's cartoon, american style, japanese style. Avatar really is the AVATAR, mastering every element. It's NOT anime, but it's NOT cartoon either. It's something new everyone should learn from.

Kinda cool to think of it this way 

Too bad Avatar was an exception. And I don't see it becoming the rule.

*Also "Tales of Ba Sing Se" and it's homage to Mako was just beautiful
